Room for Success

Finding a job can be hard enough, finding the right outfit to wear to an interview can be even more difficult!

Although women may have the skills they need for the jobs they seek, they may not be able to obtain appropriate clothing for the workplace. Lack of appropriate professional apparel is a barrier for women who seek to find and retain employment. As a result, the First Presbyterian Women’s Association has opened a profession clothing closet call “Room for Success.” The purpose of the program is to provide professional clothing to women who cannot afford to buy new clothes for job interviews or who are just starting jobs and cannot afford a new wardrobe.

We are asking local churches to support this outreach mission by donating the following clean and gently used items:

Slacks - Suits
Blouses - Dress Shoes
Blazers - Jewelry
Sweaters - Purses

We will also be accepting undergarments, hosiery, and makeup. Those items must be new and still in their original packages, otherwise they will be discarded.

Please remember that we are only accepting professional women’s clothing. Clothing will be sorted with donators present, any non-professional clothing will be returned immediately. Please contact Pastor Melissa DeRosia at 672- 8579 to set up a drop off time.
